Employability

Welder

“We’re looking for someone who has proven they can do well  academically, with excellent people skills and a good work ethic. I’ve met some incredible young people today, with amazing potential. If there were two young people from different schools and one of them had experienced an Interview Skills Day then I think that young person has a much better chance of getting the job!”

Andy Wilson, Managing  Director of TTS, large  education supplier

When recruiting, employers are looking for a wide range of skills and abilities. Qualifications and academic success certainly count, but so do practical employability skills, such as working as part of a team, communication and interview skills. Employers consistently tell us that school leavers aren’t adequately equipped with these types of skills. Our employability skills programmes address these employer concerns and deliver focussed and effective activities that develop student skills, aspirations and engagement.
